Me fui de acampada hace un tiempo. Mientras consideraba lo que tenía que llevar, miré mi linterna eléctrica y conscientemente decidí dejarla atrás. Mi teléfono tiene todo lo que necesito: una luz, una biblia, un bloc de notas, Internet y mucho más.
Tomé mi decision con un exceso de confianza tras razonarlo así, pero me faltó sumar a la ecuación una pieza clave - el poder eléctrico. Mi teléfono solo retiene cierta cantidad y requiere una recarga todos los días.
Dios tiene una reserva interminable de poder. Me conecto a él y él ilumina mi camino. Leo su palabra y mi vida se ilumina.
Cuando no me conecto con Dios diariamente, mi viaje por el desierto se vuelve oscuro.
I did a night hike once with a guide at the Audubon centre in Kentucky and we were not allowed to have a light. We had to let our eyes adjust in the limited moonlight that was available. That is the lesson as well of storing up God’s word in our heart so it is there when we need it for comfort and strength.
