Jesus Is Working (Acts 1:1)

“In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach”

Acts 1:1

I want to consider the word “began” in that verse.

In Jesus’ 3.5 years of his ministry, he had done so much, John concludes his gospel by saying “Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25)

My point is that in Acts 1, Luke tells us that Jesus was just getting STARTED. He hasn’t stopped.

“Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Hebrews 13:8

Aren’t you so thankful that our living Lord Jesus is working actively in our lives?
