Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.”
Luke 20:34–36
Reading Esther 6 tonight reminded me how well organized the angels were to arrange this plan when the king couldn’t sleep: the book of important records would be taken in for him to hear. Whoever read to him turned to the account of Bigthan & Teresh, guards who had plotted to kill the king but had been discovered by Mordecai. After an investigation, they had been hanged for their wicked plan. When the facts were recalled for the king on this night he couldn’t sleep, he realized that Mordecai had not been rewarded (nor did he brag about it or ask for honor!).
Of course Haman—aka “it’s all about me”—assumed the big deal parade would be for him . . . let’s never put such focus on ourselves and wish for such attention!
Won’t it be wonderful to be like the angels in the kingdom? God will be able to trust us with big plans and WE WON’T FAIL!

Thank you for the thought.
What a joyful mindset it will be when, by our Father’s grace in Christ, our full desire will be to accomplish His good will! We will then be perfected ev-angel-ists!
