For thus the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said,
Isaiah 30:15 (NASB 1995)
“In repentance and rest you shall be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.”
But you were not willing . . .
There are many choices of what to do in a day. Our Heavenly Father provides us many different “To Do” lists.
Maybe they are each for their own time?
I was thankful to have read this verse last Sunday morning. I don’t think I was being lazy when I decided repentance and rest, and quietness and trust were the elements for the moment. Our Heavenly Father has told us that in such we have salvation and strength!
The warning that goes with the verse is that sometimes my desire to act gets in the way of my being in faith.
May we blessed to know when it is time to be strong and courageous and when to rest quietly in our Father’s strength and salvation.
When do you act? When do you rest? Please share a comment! Ed.
The business of our lives day after day is so meaningless and mindless when are we going to learn that repentance and rest, quietness and trust are of utmost importance for salvation and strength. This verse should be on our hearts each day. Great reminder Phil
The hard part is resting and trusting in God. We have to believe with all our hearts that God has us and is in charge of the things that he allows in our lives. Thanks for those reminders Bro. Phil!
