Now the God of peace—who brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord—equip you in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
(Hebrews 13:20–21)
Many things please God:
- Patience,
- Repentance,
- Acting justly,
- Goodness,
- Mourning,
- Forgiveness,
- Joy,
- Faithfulness,
- Poverty of spirit,
- Obedience,
- Kindness,
- Walking humbly,
- Peace,
- Self-control,
- Gentleness,
- Loving mercy.
It is God who equips me to do these things; I do not equip myself. He is the potter; I am merely clay. He is the source of light and water; I am just a tree. He is the maker; I am that which is being made.
Today I will notice the equipping.
