I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
Philippians 1:19–20
I would hope that we could each, in our needs, have Paul’s confidence.
Confidence in Prayer
In this pandemic we can be confident as Paul was in 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
we are perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted but not forsaken;
cast down, but not destroyed.”
Still, I am quite sure that there are many people who are reaching the breaking point!
James 5:16 says, “Pray one for another.” We all need to pray earnestly for what the world needs—King Jesus.
“Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 21:20
Be specific in our prayers. In Luke 18:35-43 Jesus asks the blind man in Jericho, “What can I do for you?”
Confidence In Him to Whom We Pray
“The Lord that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,” Ephesians 3:20
God is the God of hills as well as valleys. 1 Kings 20:28
